• Ensure 100% compliances relating to all areas of indirect tax viz: GST, Customs, Excise, Service tax, Professional Tax, Entry tax, VAT, CST for GY India operations.
• Improve and/or develop system / processes (including IT system) for timely and effective management, compliance, reporting relating to above indirect tax operations.
• Effectively handle past on-going litigations relating to above Indirect tax areas and any future litigation.
• Ensure business continuity by managing indirect tax and timely / appropriate guidance to various stakeholders.
• Effectively work with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, counsels, service providers to ensure 100% compliances.
• Represent before tax authorities / courts / etc. appropriately to defend GY position along with necessary supporting documents.
• Take initiative and identify tax saving opportunity per law and drive those initiatives.
• Control cost of indirect tax operations & compliances & litigation
• Assess tax risks / exposure much in advance and prepare / present plan to address the same in advance and manage the same effectively.
• To establish & maintain good relationship with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
