Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers. Responsibilities are within the supply chain and logistics function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Locate and visit local suppliers based on business needs. Focus areas will be on sheet metal, machining, wire harness, and PCBs, but will include other spend categories to support localization of the supply chain in India
  • Create and manage supplier expectations; establish KPI’s to track performance and drive improvement with supplier
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Buyer / Planner, which executes MRP material planning.
  • Identify and manage a Continuous Improvement (CI) pipeline to achieve cost, quality and delivery objectives
  • Leads supplier audits, and/or quarterly business reviews
  • Provide input and perform actions from supplier risk process
  • Innovate and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and optimization

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and/or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in a supply chain sourcing role; manufacturing environment and management experience preferred
  • SAP experience highly desired

Skills And Abilities

  • Sound understanding of Purchasing practices across various commodities Experience with Lean
  • Manufacturing in a production environment preferred
  • Proficient or advanced in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Project Management
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Understanding of RoHS and REACH compliance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Team player
