About the role:


This role will be responsible for driving the growth ambitions of the company by leading and overseeing the expansion of retail business up until the pre-opening of new business units. The role will scout and finalise specific locations within identified geographies for expansion for the development of Licious offline stores.


What makes the role meaty?


  • Contribute to cross-functional work teams and work closely with Strategy, Marketing and Operations in finalising expansion plans.
  • Bring a real estate perspective into the planning discussions and industry knowledge to strengthen plans.
  • Identify and evaluate retail locations in identified cities based on brand fit, target demographics, market demand, footfall, etc.
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with real estate developers and property management firms to identify current and potential locations for expansion
  • Negotiate and finalise LLAs with property owners – for both new openings based on expansion plans and current boxes for renewals, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully execute the pre-opening phase of new business units
  • Plan and hold together the flow of expansion workstreams by working closely with Heads of Projects, Legal &; Licensing, Marketing, Operations, Finance, etc.
  • Demonstrate knowledge on all areas of pre-openings, including but not limited to concept, functionality of design, licenses and compliances, etc. to ensure watertight planning and execution
  • Be accountable for timely opening of the store as per the committed cost and quality plan and hand over to the Operations team


We hope that you have..


  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in the property scouting and business development
  • Experience in identifying and acquiring retail spaces, driving market expansion
  • Experience in end to end real estate strategy
  • Familiar with retail industry
