Manager, Investment Ops - Public / Trade Support

Scope And Responsibilities

• Confirming Bond / Equity / and FX transaction on industry standard confirmation platforms across all of Oaktree’s Strategies
• Identifying and raising trade exceptions promptly using Oaktree’s OMS in conjunction with confirmation platforms
• Monitor settlement of all trades and ensure timely resolution of any failing transaction.
• Communicating settling information clearly and concisely to counterparties and custodians
• Compiling and monitoring trade fails across all custodian banks
• Sending EOD status reports on unconfirmed trading activity
• Supporting FX netting / FX NPV activities
• Analyzing and resolving cash breaks connected to trade settlements
• Drafting SPO instructions to custodian banks to clear settlement breaks
• Adhering to Oaktree’s escalation protocols for relevant tasks
• Completing KPIs for various internal stakeholders department managers
• Assisting in other ad hoc post trade processing activities as needed
  
  

Experience Required

• 8+ years relevant operations experience; specific expertise and knowledge of trade confirmation and trade settlement
• Experience working with industry confirmation utilities such as DTCC CTM / ITP Trade Suite and FX Settlement Center.
• Experience understanding trade flow / post trade processing / and navigating custodian portals
• Experience using common industry communication protocols such as SWIFT, manual directives, custodian portals for cash instruction.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Good understanding of EMEA & US Markets and an ability to prioritize issues appropriately
