Job Description

Role Definition

Manages engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services.

Responsibilities

  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams.
  • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization particularly focused towards Reman & Aftermarket engineering.
  • Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
  • Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.

Degree Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Materials Science curriculum plus 13-15 years of previous experience or a master’s degree in an Engineering, Materials Science curriculum plus 9-12 years of previous experience or a doctorate degree in Engineering plus 3-5 years of previous experience.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production, including Aftermarket.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Develops organizational standards and processes in order to maximize complex product services' efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Creates and introduces new techniques that expedite or simplify the development process.
  • Supervises the management of multiple and diverse types of products or services.
  • Develops proof-of-concept exercises to prove or disprove validity of proposed products.
  • Advises on the appropriate solutions to complex product design and development problems.
  • Designs working prototypes of a variety of proposed products or services.
