About the Role:
Being a Collections & Credit Control Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the credit control and collections functions of key businesses of the company. Your primary objective will be to optimize cash flow, manage working capital, deploy collection strategies, while leading a pan India team and maintaining positive relationships with clients while minimizing bad debt.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize credit control and collections processes.
Provide leadership and direction to the credit control team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Review, update, and implement credit policies in accordance with company objectives and industry best practices.
Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures across the organization.
Assess and mitigate credit risks by evaluating customer creditworthiness and establishing appropriate credit limits.
Monitor credit exposures and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Oversee collections activities to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts.
Implement effective collection strategies, including negotiation and settlement of overdue accounts.
Prepare regular reports on receivables, aging analysis, and collection performance for management review.
Conduct analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to resolve credit-related issues and optimize processes.
Maintain relationships with external agencies or legal entities for debt recovery, if necessary.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration ,Finance, Accounting,, or related field
8 to 10 years of experience in credit control, collections, or a related financial role, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
In-depth knowledge of credit principles, risk assessment, and collections strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and systems for credit control and collections management.
