POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Mechanical and electrical repair of equipment and cranes, including preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns. Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing
• Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs., with some twisting and bending
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude
• Ability to use basic math skills
• Ability to read and understand and follow operating and maintenance instructions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to work well with other employees
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space and mobile equipment operation
  
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, machine installation, welding, and pipefitting
• Five plus years of mechanical and electrical repair experience
• Safety awareness training
  
  

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Mechanical and electrical repair of bailing, shearing, and crane equipment when a breakdown occurs
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Complete preventative maintenance as needed
• Other general repair work as needed
• Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust
  
  

POSITION CHALLENGES:

• Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions that may include dirt, grease, heat and cold
