The Loan Servicing Manager - Associate is a key position within the Loans group. You are expected to deliver on the specific tasks and requirements. This position is an essential part of the team and will have exposure to several aspects of running a banking office.
Job Summary
As a Loan Servicing Manager - Associate within our Loans group, you will have the opportunity to closely monitor and guide your team on a daily basis, ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. You will supervise a variety of processes, including Deal Closing, Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate-Fixings, Fees, and external payments. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance your skills in managing Nostro & Past Due Reconciliation and to make a significant impact on our operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Closely monitor the team on a day-to-day basis to ensure all SLAs are met and any exceptions are immediately escalated for resolution.
- Supervise a process which performs Deal Closing, processing Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate-Fixings, Fees and external payments, collection of interest, Nostro & Past Due Reconciliation.
- Adhere to laid down QUALITY & QUANTITY SLAs. Ensure a robust workflow allocation model is in place.
- Be the SME - Handle complex process-related queries and clarifications from the team members and route these to onshore teams for resolution if required.
- Implement a robust Knowledge Management model including maintenance of SOPs, process/policy change management, training of new joiners, and ongoing training of the existing team.
- Drive 100% compliance to process-related policies, guidelines, and controls.
- Motivate and support the team members to meet their goals and objectives. Be self-motivated and flexible with working hours. Identify HIPOs from the immediate team and have well-charted-out plans for them in place.
- Identify alternatives, options, and different ways of looking at issues/problems and seek alternative scenarios.
- Work successfully with others, valuing and utilizing the different skills and experience of colleagues from across the organization, building interdependence to achieve shared objectives and goals.
- Identify process/soft skills-based trainings to improve individual performances or as part of growth plans. Ensure learning plans are in place and that there are no breaches on mandatory/compliance training timelines.
- Ensure backups/team depth is on the high side with production backups identified and trained on critical work queues.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in loan servicing for syndicated loans or in a back office/financial industry role.
- Possess knowledge of loan systems such as Loan IQ.
- Have expertise in nostro/cash matching, General Ledger reconciliation, and SWIFT and remittance systems.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and investigative skills to analyze and resolve process-related issues.
- Maintain a strong risk and control mindset, with knowledge of investment banking products, including loans.
- Drive small to medium-sized projects, achieving strong results.
- Exhibit strong people and performance management skills.
