About the role

This is a defining opportunity for a interior designer looking to shape the future of workspaces. As a Lead Interior Designer, you’ll be responsible for translating WeWork’s design principles into immersive, high-performance environments across our product spectrum — from standard co-working floors to bespoke managed office spaces.

The role is deeply collaborative and cross-functional, requiring you to work closely with architectural, MEP, construction, logistics, and operations teams. You’ll be expected to drive projects from ideation through execution, pushing for excellence in spatial storytelling, detail resolution, and material expression — all while balancing function, brand, and budget.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Design, document, and lead multiple projects simultaneously with a strong sense of ownership, creativity, and technical accuracy
  • Translate project briefs into compelling spatial concepts grounded in both WeWork’s design ethos and user needs
  • Drive material selection, custom detailing, FF&E curation, styling and overall design direction
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and external consultants to deliver cohesive and timely outcomes
  • Lead presentations and reviews, internally and externally — articulating design rationale, intent, and solutions clearly
  • Prepare and QC design deliverables from schematic design through GFC documentation using Revit
  • Own and resolve challenges that arise during design development, vendor sourcing, execution, or post-handover
  • Maintain high documentation and detailing standards across all internal and consultant packages
  • Support real estate, development, and procurement teams with design expertise during due diligence, feasibility, and pricing
  • Mentor junior designers and ensure consistency, alignment, and quality across all project stages
  • Stay on top of trends in design, workplace innovation, sustainability, and materials to elevate project outcome

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture from a reputed institute
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in high-quality commercial, workplace, or hospitality interiors
  • Proven expertise in managing interior design projects end-to-end, preferably in a fast-paced or design-forward environment
  • Demonstrated spatial sensitivity, material knowledge, and concept development skills
  • Strong portfolio that showcases a balance of creativity and technical depth
  • Deep familiarity with design documentation in a BIM (Revit) workflow
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility guidelines, and sustainability benchmarks
  • Highly organized with a strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills
  • Hands-on proficiency in: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Google Suite
  • Bonus: Working knowledge of Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Rhino, or other rendering platforms
  • Bonus: Understanding of hybrid workspace design, user behavior mapping, or design strategy frameworks
