Job Description
Lead the development, and oversee the implementation of a world-class HSE management system as well as direct the provision of Environment, Safety, prevention of fire and its mitigation and occupational health skills, systems and facilities. In order to achieve a work environment free of injuries and health disorders, but with the capability to respond effectively in case of emergencies and to lead & develop Nayara Energy Marketing Integrated Management System conforming to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018. Compliance of Legal aspects of Marketing Division.
Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance Towards All Environmental And Statutory Legislative Requirements.
Ensure environment clearance and license are valid for respective operation.

Responsibilities
- ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Management: To create, maintain and improve the HSE team in order to achieve the team's objectives and continue to do so over time. Authority:- To ensure safe operation of the marketing business with main focus on process safety, Compliance of relevant statutory rules.
- To define the role clarity for the direct reportess.
- To define the performance contract for the identified positions & conduct Reviews, recognize & reward based on the performance.
- Initiate development activities to enhance the skill levels.
- Implement HSE Management Systems and processes for Marketing Division
- Implementation of HSE plans for the Marketing business and coordinate with various departments on the same.
- Develop standards and procedure to implement HSE system.
- Provide solutions to major HSE problems through systematic studies through internal & external agencies.
- Continual improvement through implementing HSE best practices and benchmarking HSE performance
- Timely implementation of recommendations of HSE Audits,
- Take lead for successful implementation of all improvement projects related to HSE.
- Provide support and guidance for solving HSE related issues & carry out periodic safety/compliance audits
- Identification of Hazards and Risk involve in HSE issue through study
- Implement control measures to reduce the risk as per hierarchy of control through standard and procedure.
- Ensure HSE management systems is effective to manage risks
- Provide HSE inputs for projects, modifications and improvements.
- Review HSE integration across the different constituents of the energy business / value chain.
- HSE Training and Communication program to increase HSE awareness and competence in marketing, based on proven Safety Management Systems.
- Develop and Conduct HSE Training and Communication.
- Provide HSE training and awareness.
- Facilitate for an effective HSE communication program.
- Develop HSE trainer within department
- Planning & Budgeting: Annual & Facilities plan : To develop plans and are capable of driving to zero non-conformities
- Monitor department performance against targets and benchmarks and in consultation with all concerned departments.
- Implement agreed strategies to eliminate priority gaps with associated budgetary requirements.
- Systems, Policies & Procedures: Lead the development of a comprehensive world-class Safety Management system and Environmental Management to systematically reduce incident rates, adhering to procedures and norms, managing the environmental aspects and reduction in non-conformities and sustain them at very low levels.
- Prepared and establish HSE manual
- Schedule and conduct periodic HSE audit in the marketing business
- Develop department SOP's
- Develop HSE standards to meet the operational excellence. Management programs completion and maintained Environmental compliance and Risk Register.
- MIS : Coordinate and provide analysis & insights, inputs/information, for various levels of MIS as defined in order to enable timely decision making to achieve business plan objectives. Authority:- To ensure monthly reports and also furnish details to corporate sustainability department.
- On time compilation of monthly HSE performance report
- Maintained HSE Leading and Lagging parameter records.
- Collate the audit reports & send the observations to the concerned department for corrective actions.
Ensure Compliance Towards All Environmental And Statutory Legislative Requirements.
Ensure environment clearance and license are valid for respective operation.
- Ensure adherence to Factories Act and applicable laws
- Ensure adherence to Environment acts and rules
- Ensure adherence to disposal of hazardous waste
- Should be up to date on the industry norms on safety and environment
- Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- Should hold a valid/authentic bachelor's degree in any specialisation
- Degree/Diploma in industrial Safety from the accredited institute
- Any master's degree would be an added qualification (optional)
