Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake and PostgreSQL data models, schemas, and queries.
  • Develop ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and process large datasets efficiently.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all data platforms.
  • Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans and implementing indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
  • Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and BI teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
  • Implement data governance best practices, including security, compliance, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and provide tuning recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud-based data warehousing and database technologies.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Azure Databricks, Python, Etl.
  • Strong expertise in Pyspark, including data warehousing concepts, Snowflake SQL, and performance tuning.
  • In-depth experience with PostgreSQL, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or Terraform.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
