Job Responsibilities :
The Lead Business Development professional will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and identifying new business opportunities within (a) Upstream Oil & Gas sector and (b) Upcoming New Energy sectors like Geothermal, Underground Coal Gasification etc. The role holder will lead the development and execution of business development activities to expand our market presence, establish key partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
The Lead Business Development professional will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and identifying new business opportunities within (a) Upstream Oil & Gas sector and (b) Upcoming New Energy sectors like Geothermal, Underground Coal Gasification etc. The role holder will lead the development and execution of business development activities to expand our market presence, establish key partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
- Lead business development activities to expand Company#s footprint in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector and other sectors including Geothermal, UCG etc.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Carry out Techno-commercial evaluation of the opportunities.
- Closely work with Technical, Commercial & Legal teams to drive the projects.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and value propositions that meet and align with company objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop understanding of Production Sharing Contract (PSC) to ensure sale process is in strict compliance.
- Take lead in the preparation of the bid documents (Notice Inviting Offer, RFP and Sale Agreement) and holding the bidding process.
- Provide recommendation to E&P Management on MJ Condensate price (floor and benchmark) based on analysis of crude, product and freight related data/information.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal (cross functional teams) and external (partner, buyers, vendors, etc.) stakeholders to achieve following:
- Preparation and regular updation of Offtake Planning Schedule
- Assay evaluation of MJ Condensate sample on regular intervals
- Provide update to MoPNG/DGH on condensate sale as per PSC
- Ensure strict compliance with Sale Agreement
- Support FPSO team to ensure smooth and safe condensate offtake
- Ensure vendor invoices are processed timely
- Review and verify demurrage claims submitted by buyers. Ensure speedy closure/settlement as per agreed Contracts.
- Bachelor#s degree (Engineering, Geosciences, or related field)
- MBA
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development roles within E&P industry
- Experience leading/ dealing with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong network of industry contacts and relationships
- Proven track record of success in business development roles within the Upstream Oil & Gas industry
- Strong understanding of upstream exploration, drilling, production, and reservoir management processes and technologies
- Strong Financial Modelling skills along with excellent knowledge of Contracts & Commercial terms related to E&P Projects - Production Sharing Contract (PSC), Joint Operating Agreement (JoA) etc.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with Strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in market research, financial analysis, and risk assessment
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
