- Prepares/cooks food items and dishes using the grill, flat top, oven, fryer, steamer, toaster/salamander, small kitchen appliances, and kitchen utensils including various knives
- Prepares all food following recipes as written; Follows all kitchen portion control measures.
- Makes cooking adjustments to accommodate guest requests.
- Assists with maintaining proper inventory levels; Communicates items with low inventory and may be responsible for making purchases within prescribed guidelines
- Ensures all Kitchen procedures are followed including proper receiving, storage, labeling, rotation, and portion control of food items; Follows cost containment and food waste best practices
- Prepares thawing, prep work, side work, and stocking lists and cleaning assignments
- Ensures all Environmental, Health, Safety, Cleaning and Sanitation policies and procedures are followed; Responsible for maintaining clean and organized kitchen
- Assists with employee training and schedules, and supervises Kitchen employees; Participates in employee performance evaluations
- Assists with monitoring employee hours, approving time sheets, and submitting department payroll
- Ensures timely and accurate completion departments reports and logs; Communicates equipment issues and accidents
- Works with other departments to coordinate food service for special events and resale.
- Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years as supervisor in Hotel Industry
- Knowledge of kitchen, food, and cleaning standards.
- Excellent supervisory, leadership, training, and communication skills.
- Strong customer service, time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
