JUNIOR TRAFFIC MANAGER

Traffic Manager supervise the activities of assigned engineering and administrative staff and oversee the design of signing and striping, traffic control, traffic signal timing, traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and the preparation of project reports, plans, specifications, estimates, grant applications, progress reports, and other technical documents. Senior Engineers also perform traffic and transportation research, analysis, planning, and design. This position includes monitoring the work of consultants/contractors performing traffic/transportation engineering, preparing or assisting in the preparation of division budgets, and making presentations to various stakeholders.

What does a senior traffic engineer do?

Tasks will include scoping jobs, preparing fee proposals, undertaking development impact assessments, preparation of high quality technically accurate reports, assigning, directing, coordinating and supervising work of other professional and technical staff and liaising with clients.
