About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Researcher to support our growing research function at WTF. This role combines deep research, sharp writing, and content creation across podcasts and social media. You’ll work closely with the production, editorial, and social media teams to deliver accurate, insightful, and engaging research that fuels storytelling and audience engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Research for Podcast:

  • Conduct comprehensive and detailed research on various topics for upcoming podcast episodes.
  • Gather data, statistics, and other relevant information to support podcast content.
  • Collaborate with the host and production team to develop episode outlines and ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information presented.
  • Research work for the Post-Production work including fact-checking, collating information for infographics, and coordinating with the editorial team
  • Stay updated with current trends and developments in the fields of startups, entrepreneurship, finance, and venture capital.

2. Research and Content Creation for Social Media:

  • Research work for Insightful Social Media posts on various topics
  • Create engaging and informative written content such as captions and descriptions for social media posts.
  • Use research findings to develop compelling content that aligns with the podcast's themes and audience interests.
  • Work closely with the social media team to plan and execute content strategies across various platforms.


Requirements:

  • Undergraduate/Master’s degree in a research or data-focused field (Business, Finance, Journalism, Communications, etc. preferred).
  • 1–3 years of relevant research experience.
  • Strong research and writing skills with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Familiarity with market/industry research and data analysis.
  • Experience with research tools, post-production tools, and data visualisation.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.
  • Adaptability to take on new challenges.


Bonus:

  • Previous experience in podcast research, media, or startup ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually engaging research outputs.
  • A passion for storytelling, digital content, and youth culture.
