At Openhouse, we are building a network of premium play based learning centres across Bangalore. Our learning centres offer preschool, childcare and co-curricular activities for ages 1-10 years. We believe that modern parents are seeking professionally run schools that are child-centric, have quality infrastructure and follow global pedagogies.
Our learning centres are different from traditional K-12 schools or preschools. We are building learning hubs (micro-schools) at a neighbourhood level where parents can send children for play school, nursery, kindergarten and a range of co-curricular activities from dance to drama, chess to robotics!

What is the role?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our team. As a Junior Architect, you will assist in the preparation of construction drawings, design development, and coordination of architectural projects. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within a collaborative and dynamic firm, while honing their skills in architecture and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of design concepts and construction documentation.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and details, under the guidance of senior architects.
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure the drawings meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design presentations and meetings with clients, assisting with visualizations and model development.
- Research and apply building codes, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Organize and maintain project files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to project coordination and communication across teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent qualification).
- 1-3 years of experience in architectural design or construction documentation.
- Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting, design principles, and construction processes.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Please note- This is a 2 or 3 month Consultant Project.
