The Role

We’re looking for a driven and imaginative Junior Android Developer who is eager to help build and evolve the Barsys Android app. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software and robotics—designing experiences that connect directly with physical products in real time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing new features for the Barsys Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and product managers to turn user needs into elegant, responsive mobile experiences.
• Use creative development approaches, including vibe coding, to rapidly prototype and iterate on app features.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools and modern design-to-code platforms to enhance development speed and accuracy.
• Help optimize app performance, address bugs, and improve usability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning as you develop your skills.
• Stay informed about the latest Android tools, libraries, and design trends—especially those relevant to smart home and connected devices.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Android development (can include internships, bootcamps, or personal projects).
• Proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
• Interest in intuitive UI/UX design and building delightful user experiences.
• Curiosity about rapid prototyping tools, AI-assisted development, and creative coding methods.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and openness to experimentation.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: experience with Bluetooth/IoT integrations or personal Android projects that show creativity.
