Client is a renowned Import & Export company, is seeking a Junior Accountant to assist in managing day-to-day financial operations. The candidate will focus on accurate data entry and preparation of key financial reports to ensure smooth business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Transaction Entry:
- Record and maintain daily transactions in accounting software, including purchase, sales, expenses, and bank entries.
- GST Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of GST reports.
- Ensure compliance with GST regulations and timely submission of returns.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and accounting records.
- TDS Reporting:
- Prepare and file TDS reports as per statutory guidelines.
- Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS.
- Data Management:
- Ensure all transactions are accurately entered into the system, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Financial Support:
- Assist the senior accountant in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Provide support for audit processes and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: B.Com or relevant degree in Accounting
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in managing daily financial transactions, preparation of GST and TDS reports.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and basic accounting principles.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in the import/export industry or working with CA firms will be an added advantage.
