Summary

The Operations Center, part of the reliability services team, is a foundational component of SAP’s Cloud Service Management strategy.

We are the first point of contact towards GCID Service Management providing a centralized intake services and queries for Product Support, MCC and including different lines of business (LoBs) and their applications running on SAP Converged Cloud and Public Cloud. We make sure that Cloud Reliability is assured through our rapid response and restoration services available 24/7 and reacts efficiently if any incidents arise. Operations Center offers a wide variety of services, including Service Desk for Major Incident Intake and Observability for Proactive Major Incident Recognition, as well as, knowledge & coordination services. The goal is to ensure a faster incident validation and escalation management.

What You'll Do

As a IT Technology Services Specialist, you will be at the center of SAP’s GCID Service Management operational processes, enabling solutions that empower to provide exceptional support services to meet the Service Management goals of increased availability, overrall reliability , and consistent service levels that can be delivered upon.

  • Development of enrichment, correlation, alerting functions in Python.
  • DevOps background, code review via Github, deployment of code into dev, qa, prod using CICD pipeline.
  • Troubleshooting and bugfixing of Python code.

What You Bring

Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Engineering,

Minimum of 3+ years work experience

DevOps/ Full Stack Development using Python

Soft skills ability and has demonstrated this in requirements handling

IT / Customer Support Experience

Strong data engineering skills oriented towards a particular product like Elastic.

Data Lake Fundamentals

Ticketing Tools (ServiceNow, Jira)

Experience in working with cross-cultural teams or individuals

Demonstrated Technical Training and Writing skills

General knowledge on Hyperscalers (Azure, etc)

Has broad knowledge of content/products in market/industry/functional area and is able to adapt new changes/practices in the following areas:

  • SCRUM methodology
  • Dashboard creation via Kibana/Grafana
  • Azure CICD
  • UX/UI development
  • Data Analytics
  • Graph DB/Memgraph experience

Nature and scope of position

This position usually works independently with minimal supervision. The position reports directly to the Service Delivery Manager of Operations Center.
