IT Support Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for Network Printers, VOIP, and other peripheral equipment
• Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and other peripheral equipment.
• Good knowledge & understanding of Windows networking concepts LAN/WIFI including troubleshooting & isolating issues.
• Good knowledge of Windows Security Components (Certificates, Antivirus, VPN)
• Proficient Knowledge of GPO, Device Drivers, Profiles, DHCP & DNS issues
• Create images and be responsible for all OS deployment and backups.
• Provide in-house tech support for all levels within the SLA.
• Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors and support staff that provide hardware / software / network problem resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and operational instructions to users.
• Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking using Ticketing tool.
  
  

Education / Qualifications

• BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in L2 desktop support or IT service desk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 suite, and endpoint security tools
• ITIL Knowledge (Incident /Problem /Change Management).
• Automation Experience to reduce the human touch points
• Automate the workflows using Microsoft application suite
• Think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions in IT.
• Flexible and easily adaptable to any environment.
• Self-motivated and work well independently
• Willing to work in shifts.
• Good communications and grammatical skills

Hexagon’s R&D Centre in India

Hexagon’s R&D Center in India is the single largest R&D hub for the company globally. Over 2,100 talented engineers and developers create innovation from this center that powers Hexagon's products and solutions.

It was established with Hexagon’s acquisition of Intergraph, the first IT MNC in Hyderabad and has now grown to deliver innovations and create solutions for all business lines of Hexagon including Asset Lifecycle Intelligence, Safety Infrastructure & Geospatial, Geosystems, Mining, Manufacturing Intelligence and Autonomous Solutions. It also hosts a few dedicated services teams for global implementation of Hexagon's products.
