International Delivery Unit Manager (India)

Role Summary

We are seeking an ambitious International Delivery Unit Manager to join our growing GFT India team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to establish and shape a new centre from the ground up, playing a key role in influencing decision-making and execution strategies. Based in our rapidly expanding Offshore Development Delivery Centre in Pune, India, you will collaborate with clients and partners to deliver world-class software solutions with a focus on digital banking and blockchain-based payment systems.

As an IDU Manager, the primary focus is on building and managing offshore development and technical people who will be working on remote projects. Working with industry-leading technology and business experts in digital banking, cloud blockchain, cryptocurrency, and distributed ledger technology domains. Managing the development of teams who are well-versed in all matters related to agile methodologies and frameworks, technology delivery and the engineering of exceptional software solutions. Daily, you’ll collaborate internationally with colleagues, clients, and partners throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Key Activities

• Focusing on the delivery success of the Offshore Delivery Centre
• Ensuring high delivery standards and maintaining client satisfaction
• Applying Agile-Methodology on projects typically involving teams of 5-10
• Build local technology practices and or centres of excellence in transformation technologies
• Travelling internationally to various client/GFT sites
• Aim to take complete oversight of the Offshore Development Center for GFT Technologies in India
• Liaise and support Business Development Leads in selling countries to
  • Formulate proposals and write the solution to be delivered
  • Support definition of rate cards and related documentation
• Work with Global teams and be the ambassador for clients and internal visitors to GFT India
• Develop and explicitly communicate the Delivery Success Goals as defined by each project

Required Skills

• 5+ years’ experience working in Software Development and/or as a senior manager in the banking of fintech sectors.
• Track record/in-depth experience in building new teams in an international environment
• Committed to taking on the full responsibility for the Offshore Delivery Centre and growing stable teams
• Problem-solving, sense of ownership and track record in leadership of Software Developers
• Excellent written and verbal use of English.
