As a Microsoft consultant, you will deliver quality engagements with your expertise, either as an advisor, reviewer, contributor, or resource in high profile projects to ensure customer value. The ideal candidate must have the ability to combine their technical skills, creativity, and customer focus to deliver great solutions to the customers and ensure they get the best out of our technologies and solutions. Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the customer/partner team and technical and business decision-makers to align customer vision with solutions. Manages risk and Services business goals within large engagements.
• Responsible for technical quality assurance, identification, and mitigation of technical risk across customer or partner deliverables.
• Applies technical experience and industry-specific knowledge to develop solutions, based on an analysis of how the proposed approach affects the business objectives of customers and partners.
• Works to accelerate the value proposition of customer or partner engagements by helping to design, develop, and deploy solutions, based on Microsoft technologies and methodologies.
• Applies information-compliance and assurance policies to ensure stakeholder confidence.
• Identifies new processes and innovations to help customers or partners build and accelerate capabilities by using Microsoft technologies.
• Defines dependencies and risks that go beyond the immediate scope and timeframe for a complex project.
• Identifies a best practice approach for a project, across a wide scope of technical issues, and develops or reuses intellectual capital with customers, world-wide, and for programs and initiatives across Microsoft.
• Works with practitioners to apply subject matter expertise and ensures that the solution architecture is both consistent and adoptable.
• Contributes perspective and expertise to the development of customer solutions that increase the value proposition for Services.
• Responsible for the overall efficacy and quality of a project team’s technical delivery within his or her engagements.
• Defines engagements and opportunities to use Intellectual Property (IP) and address product gaps, while leveraging existing IP and community resources to ensure consistency and improve predictability.
• Leads the Engineering team and provides accurate time estimates, sets work priorities, and makes project changes and trade-offs necessary for a successful release.
• Drives new ways of thinking, across the division and subsidiary, to improve quality, engineering productivity, and responsiveness to feedback and changing priorities.
• Trusted advisor and deep knowledge in implementation.

Qualifications

Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying Azure Landing Zones.
• Deep understanding of cloud platform design principles and multi-cloud migration strategies.
  
  

Azure Infrastructure & Networking

• Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services across compute, storage, and networking.
• Expertise in architecting and deploying business mission-critical applications on Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure networking components including VNet, ExpressRoute, vWAN, ingress/egress patterns, and Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs).
  
  

Cloud Migration & Modernization

• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration projects using tools like Azure Migrate.
• Familiarity with all stages of the migration lifecycle, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.
• Experience with container migration and modernization initiatives.
  
  

DevOps & Automation

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including YAML-based pipeline configuration.
• Experience with at least one CI/CD platform: GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins (working knowledge of others is a plus).
• Strong automation skills using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Experience deploying infrastructure using a modular, reusable approach.
  
  

Security, Monitoring & Best Practices

• Knowledge of Azure monitoring tools and implementation of security best practices.
• Familiarity with governance, compliance, and operational excellence in cloud environments.
  
  

Consulting & Delivery

• Demonstrated success in leading customer-facing projects in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience conducting technical workshops, envisioning sessions, and solution design engagements.
  
  

Soft Skills & Mindset

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Proven adaptability to new technologies and evolving customer requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Awareness of AI technologies and their integration into cloud solutions.
