Job Title: System Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will have expertise in system installation, network management, security enforcement, and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
System Installation and Configuration:
Deploy, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
Install and configure software, hardware, and applications.
Manage and configure virtual machines and hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V).
Network Management:
Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Implement and manage VPNs, VLANs, and other network protocols.
Security Management:
Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
System Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and uptime.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
Data Management:
Manage and maintain databases (SQL, NoSQL).
Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures.
User and Asset Management:
Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, changes, and asset tracking.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage IT asset inventory, including hardware and software.
Oversee biometric systems, email ID creation, and portal handling.
Maintain and manage CCTV systems.
Ensure IT compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Label and categorize IT equipment for efficient tracking and management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security protocols.
Proficiency in managing virtual machines, databases, and cloud services.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong documentation and communication abilities.
