Position Overview

The Image Editor will be responsible for editing, retouching, and enhancing images to meet Group Bayport’s quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in image editing software to ensure that all images reflect the brand’s visual style and support overall business goals. The Image Editor will work closely with the Studio Manager and other creative team members to produce images that accurately represent product features, enhance product presentations, and contribute to an engaging customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Image Editing & Retouching
  
  

Edit, retouch, and enhance product images to ensure they meet quality standards for color, lighting, sharpness, and composition.

Remove blemishes, adjust lighting, correct colors, and perform other necessary edits to improve image quality.

Create high-quality, clean, and realistic images that accurately represent the products and highlight key features.

Perform complex edits such as background removal, image masking, and manipulation to create composite images or meet specific visual requirements.

• Image Optimization & Standardization
  
  

Optimize images for different platforms, ensuring they are formatted correctly and meet size requirements for web, mobile, and social media.

Maintain consistency in image style, tone, and quality across all product categories and campaigns.

Standardize image dimensions, resolutions, and file formats according to Group Bayport’s guidelines.

• Quality Control & Consistency
  
  

Implement quality control processes to review images before final approval and publishing.

Ensure that all images are consistent with Group Bayport’s brand guidelines, maintaining uniformity in color schemes, lighting, and overall presentation.

Regularly audit image quality and update or re-edit older images to align with new standards and guidelines.

• Collaboration with Studio & Creative Teams
  
  

Work closely with the Studio Manager, photographers, and videographers to ensure images complement other visual assets, such as product videos and lifestyle visuals.

Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising and Creative teams to understand image requirements for specific products, categories, or campaigns.

Provide image support for creative projects, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches, ensuring timely delivery of edited images.

• Advanced Image Editing & Special Projects
  
  

Develop advanced edited images such as lifestyle images, feature visuals, or AI-generated images as needed.

Use specialized software and tools for high-end retouching and creative image manipulation.

Contribute to the development of new visual styles or techniques to enhance product presentation.

• Image Management & Organization
  
  

Organize and maintain a library of edited images, ensuring files are properly labeled, stored, and backed up for easy access.
