Our client is a small family owned manufacturing company that is looking to bring on an HR Manager to own their HR department. Salary: $100 - 110K.
Job Description
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of insurance claims, including health and workers' compensation.
- Coordinate with medical providers and insurance adjusters to ensure proper claims handling.
- Manage unemployment claims processes, including responses to claims and representation during hearings.
- Ensure compliance with pay transparency regulations.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Develop and manage performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
- Help move the company from paper to digital.
- Create new JD's and help with job leveling.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits and inspection - CFR and OSHA.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with safety law in a manufacturing environment - OSHA, accident investigations, safety trainings, etc.
- Knowledge of current MA state employment laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems.
- Opportunity to report directly into the owner of a small family owned manufacturing company.
- Great opportunity to work in a fast paced collaborative environment.
- 4 days on-site in Essex County, MA. Schedule: 5:30am - 4pm Mon - Thurs (3 day weekend every week)
- Salary: $100 - 110K. Discretionary bonus + great benefits!
