The benefits operations team is part of the dynamic People Experience team. This small but collaborative group is committed to building a forward-looking and future-ready people function at Grab. Our focus is on delivering top-notch benefits programmes that enhance employee well-being and satisfaction.

Get to Know the Role

As a HR Benefits Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing benefits programmes to align with employee needs and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end insurance renewal cycle, addressing complex benefit inquiries, and supporting projects aimed at enhancing benefits administration. This on-site position, based in our Bangalore office, reports to the Benefits Operations Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Operational Management: Oversee the operational aspects of benefits programmes across regions, addressing escalated issues and providing solutions for unique inquiries.
  • Data and Compliance: Ensure data accuracy and compliance within HR systems relating to benefits.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and manage reports and documentation required for audits and regulatory submissions, conducting internal reviews to resolve any encountered issues.
  • Enrollment and Life Changes: Assist during benefits enrollment periods and major employee life changes.
  • Vendor Relationships: Cultivate relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop materials to increase employee understanding of their benefits options and facilitate benefits fairs and informational sessions to enhance engagement.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Experience: 3 years in benefits administration or HR operations, with regional exposure preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with employee benefits programmes and legal requirements to ensure compliance and data accuracy within HR systems.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate vendor agreements to ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in analysing and resolving benefit-related issues.
  • Discretion: Skill in handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Project Coordination: Experience supporting projects geared towards improving benefits administration and employee engagement.
