Job Description

The Head of Production Operations will lead, manage, and continuously improve the production operations of mobile telecom equipment manufacturing. This includes overseeing end-to-end production processes, ensuring quality control, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and driving cost-effective, timely manufacturing to meet customer demands. The role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise in high-tech manufacturing environments.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Develop and implement production strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead production planning, scheduling, and execution across all manufacturing units.
  • Establish KPIs for operational performance and continuously track improvements.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of manufacturing plants/facilities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, RoHS, CE).
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Drive adoption of Industry 4.0/ 5.0, IoT, and smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Evaluate and invest in advanced equipment and automation solutions.
  • Ensure manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, etc.) are optimized and well-integrated

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering) preferred.
  • 10–15 years of experience in production operations preferred, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in mobile telecom, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing sectors is preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading complex production environments and achieving cost, quality, and delivery targets.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Good knowledge of learn manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and global supply chain dynamics is preferred.
