Job Description
Project Engineer II
As a Project Engineer II, you will have a strong understanding of project management activities, including the end to end project management process in a fast paced, complex business environment. You will work within a team of collaborative colleagues, working on high-impact projects that move the business forward. You will help your team meet deadlines, track, monitor and summarize progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding the status and health of the projects.

Project Engineer II
As a Project Engineer II, you will have a strong understanding of project management activities, including the end to end project management process in a fast paced, complex business environment. You will work within a team of collaborative colleagues, working on high-impact projects that move the business forward. You will help your team meet deadlines, track, monitor and summarize progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding the status and health of the projects.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, drive, and execute CE Transition projects and the VE cost reduction projects in a cross-functional environment, working with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and OM to ensure project execution (meet deadlines) and implementation. Drive and execute the CE / VE projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Initiatives of projects include supplier transfer to high-growth regions, supply base optimization, supply risk mitigation, and value engineering changes among others.
- This position is responsible for building a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas development and strong cooperation with the procurement / offering and R&D organization towards the successful execution.
- Development of solid business cases and execution of projects, productivity tracking until the project is implemented.
- Perform risk management to identify and minimize issues in project execution.
- Establish a relationship with stakeholders on the GBE and escalate project barriers and delays.
- Lead productivity workshops to increase the pipeline of projects to close the productivity gap.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of program / project management experience
- Experience in hardware electronics / mechanical design either NPI or VECE
- Experience working in a global Team Environment
- Good decision-making, analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment in making sound decisions
- Problem solving skill set
- Strong analytical and innovative mindset to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to articulate points of view with senior leaders, but execute plans when directed
- Demonstrate actionable results by delivering against targets for financial performance business impact
- Strong project management skills including the ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically but detailed oriented to support ideology with facts
