Graphic Designer

What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for talented graphic designers in India to help design and produce our various advertising campaigns (digitally and print based.) You will work collaboratively with our art directors and designers in the United States. You will need to be able to quickly comprehend our brand/campaign standards as well as common design elements of our campaigns. You will also need to be able to extrapolate design intentions into multiple sizes and/or executions. You should be experts at the Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. Ideally you would also have strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written English skills.

Job Duties

An overview of duties includes:

• Design and produce various materials for digital and print campaigns
• Work in collaboration with other senior designers or art directors
• Ensure projects are completed within deadlines or service level agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure that all designs are on brand with excellent attention to detail
• QA designs and outputs for errors
• Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
• Manage multiple projects while managing competing deadlines
• Implement feedback and changes as quickly as possible
• Create designs and compositions that achieve project goal and support the Avalara
• Understand the nuances of design differences from decks coming from different Avalara stakeholders
• Develop and have a strong understanding for Avalara’s go-to-market story, our products, and how to tell that story with slides that meet business objectives
  
  

What You'll Need to be Successful

• Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of collaboration withing Microsoft Office 365, and particularly SharePoint and OneDrive
• Excellent English – written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of two years experience in corporate or agency graphic design
• Very strong attention to detail required
• Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independent of, and asynchronously with other international designers
• Strong knowledge of layouts, design and graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
• Experience with both print and digital media
