Frontend Engineer

At HG Insights, we lead the way in technology intelligence, delivering AI-driven insights through advanced data science and scalable big data architecture. With the recent acquisitions of MadKudu and TrustRadius, we’ve created an agentic GTM ecosystem that eliminates manual handoffs, guesses, and siloed signals and we need a strategic seller to take it to market.

We’re searching for a strong Frontend Engineer to help modernize and scale this vision. This role is an opportunity to take ownership in tackling that technical debt, re-architecting critical components, and driving the shift to a more modern, performant, and resilient frontend. You’ll directly shape the experience for thousands of enterprise users, while laying the foundation for rapid product iteration and future growth.

What You Will Do

• Develop responsive React/Next.js applications for our vendor portal, admin dashboards, and customer-facing product discovery platform, AI Agentic embeddable products
• Build component libraries and design systems ensuring consistency across multiple applications in our monorepo architecture
• Implement complex user interfaces for data visualization, search and filtering, vendor management workflows, and AI-powered product recommendations
• Optimize frontend performance including code splitting, lazy loading, SEO optimization, and Core Web Vitals improvements for high-traffic pages
• Create accessible and mobile-responsive designs following WCAG guidelines and modern UX patterns for B2B applications
• Integrate with backend APIs and implement robust error handling, loading states, and real-time updates using WebSockets
  
  

What You Will Be Responsible For

• User experience quality across vendor portal, product search, and review submission workflows serving thousands of daily active users
• Frontend performance metrics including page load times, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness across all applications
• Component library maintenance and design system evolution supporting multiple development teams
• Cross-browser compatibility and testing across modern browsers and devices
• Accessibility compliance ensuring inclusive design for enterprise users with diverse needs
  
  

What You Will Need

• 5+ years frontend development with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Strong CSS/SCSS skills with responsive design, flexbox/grid, and component-based styling
• State management expertise with Redux, Context API, or similar patterns for complex application state
• Performance optimization experience with bundling, caching, and frontend monitoring tools
• UI/UX collaboration skills working with designers and implementing pixel-perfect designs

• Next.js and SSR/SSG experience with server-side rendering and static site generation
• Data visualization experience with D3.js, Chart.js, or similar libraries for analytics dashboards
• Design system development and component library architecture
• B2B application experience with complex workflows and data-heavy interfaces
• Testing frameworks including Cypress, Playwright, or React Testing Library
