Role Overview

Join our product engineering team as a Front-End Developer focused on building responsive, high-performance web applications with React.js and Next.js. You will translate pixel-perfect Figma designs into production code, ensure flawless behaviour across a wide spectrum of screen sizes, and collaborate closely with designers, product managers and back-end engineers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features with React.js and Next.js, following component-driven architecture.
• Convert Figma (or similar) mock-ups into exact, production-ready UI with semantic HTML and advanced CSS / SCSS.
• Implement fully responsive layouts that adapt fluidly from mobile to desktop (flexbox, grid, container queries, viewport units).
• Optimise rendering performance, bundle size and Core Web Vitals through code-splitting, dynamic imports and best-practice Next.js configuration.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs; manage application state with Context, Redux or React-Query.
• Write unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to a shared design system / component library to ensure UI consistency.
• Collaborate with UX designers to refine interactions, accessibility and animation details.
• Troubleshoot cross-browser issues and maintain superior compatibility for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and mobile browsers.
• Stay current with evolving JavaScript, React and CSS standards; propose continuous improvements to tooling and workflow.
  
  

Experience & Education

• 2-3 years professional front-end development experience.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Demonstrated portfolio of responsive web apps built with React.js and Next.js.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES2021+).
• Expert-level CSS : flexbox, grid, animations, variables, preprocessors (SCSS/LESS), BEM or CSS-in-JS libraries (styled-components, Emotion).
• Pixel-perfect implementation skills-ability to reproduce Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD designs exactly.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Vercel, Netlify), and agile development workflows.
• Basic understanding of SEO, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and Lighthouse performance metrics.
