Front End Engineer

Position Summary: FMC is seeking an experienced React Native developer to join the mobile application development team. This position will be working on Arc(TM) farm intelligence, an agronomic data application, to help growers assess and react to pest behavior in their fields.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining a mobile application using React Native.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work on bug fixes and improvements to application performance.
• Ensure code is high quality with unit tests and code reviews.
• Periodically assist in release management activities to ensure a smooth and timely deployment of new versions of the mobile application.
  
  

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 13+ years of overall experience and 3 years of relevant experience in React Native mobile app development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with frontend unit test frameworks, particularly Jest.
• Familiarity with version control, namely Git.
• Familiarity with agile development practices.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
• Familiarity with mobile application release lifecycle management.
