We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finishing Incharge to join our well-known plywood company. As the Finishing Incharge, you will be responsible for overseeing the finishing process of our plywood products.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Wood Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Strong knowledge and understanding of plywood finishing techniques and processes
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in plywood finishing
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products
- Ensure adherence to operational and quality policies and procedures to manage finishing work efficiently and safely and to enable the factory to meet the despatch targets
- Assist the Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager in planning and deciding the monthly and daily production schedule of finished goods
- Ensure adherence to the production schedule and timely completion of finished goods
- Coordinate with the Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager, for the availability of material from the previous stage and other resources on a daily basis
- Oversee and ensure quality parameters and standards norms are adhered to in the cutting, sanding, grading and labeling processes
- Ensure all quality parameters (like dimensions, graining etc.) are adhered to and quality norms are followed
- Ensure all minor repair works are completed during the finishing process
- Ensure adherence to cost effective and quality enhancing finishing methods
- Check the inventory levels post finishing and track the movement of finished goods
- Ensure minimization of waste / rejections at the cutting and finishing stage
- Ensure compliance to all safety, health and environment measures in the process
- Ensure and maintain data on the finished goods inventory and share it for planning the despatch activity
- Maintain records about the number and type of defects and facilitate EDP in preparing periodic defect reports
- Ensure adherence to systems and processes and to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Create and maintain daily reports about the status of finished products and share it with the Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager, for better production planning and coordination with sales & Marketing team
