As we scale our sparkle, we’re on the hunt for a finance leader who can bring numbers to life and keep our financial engine running with precision and integrity.

This isn’t just a back-office number cruncher role. At GEMGEM, our Financial Controller will:

Act as the Local Head of Finance:

• Be the financial brain of the company’s India operations.
• Take full ownership of accounting, compliance, cash flow, and reporting.

Lead Day-to-Day Financial Operations:

• Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure Regulatory and Statutory Compliance:

• Maintain full compliance with Indian taxation, GST, and ROC requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external consultants.

Support Strategic Decision-Making:

• Work closely with founders to plan budgets, forecasts, and investment models.
• Contribute to pricing strategies and cost optimization initiatives.

Part-Time or Full-Time – We’re Flexible:

• Open to highly experienced candidates who prefer a part-time setup.
• Ideal for professionals with 5–10 years of experience as a CA or equivalent.
  

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent international certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in a senior finance or controller role.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
• Experience in startups or fast-paced businesses (bonus if product-led).
• Proficiency in financial software, Excel/Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• A proactive mindset – you don’t wait for problems, you predict and prevent them.
