The Group Services and Recoveries (GSR) and Intra Group (IG) Operations team

manages billing and settlement operations for group cost allocation, intercompany services, and stock transfers. As Shell evolves with multi-dimensional growth in areas like Renewables & Energy Solutions, Electric Mobility, and Decarbonization, the team is undergoing a strategic Finance and Digital Transformation to become more agile and future-ready.

The Finance Process Transformation Advisor plays a pivotal role in driving end-toend finance process transformation, with a strong emphasis on process design, reengineering, and digital enablement. This includes leveraging SAP S/4HANA, Market Standard Solutions, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other emerging technologies to optimize global intercompany processes and ensure strategic alignment with Shell’s transformation agenda and industry best practices.

What’s the role?

  • Drive process transformation, innovation, and re-engineering across
  • Intercompany billing, services, and stock transfer settlements.
  • Act as custodian of process design and procedures, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
  • Develop future-ready process designs and data architecture that support scalability, automation, and digital integration.
  • Lead global integrated process design and architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy, legal/fiscal requirements, and digital developments.
  • Deliver digital transformation through integration of SAP S/4HANA, AI, and market-standard automation technologies.
  • Oversee the ERP/system landscape, owning relevant business applications and coordinating on standards and technical developments.
  • Embed a robust control and compliance framework, including SOX and ITGC requirements.
  • Maintain high-quality process documentation and ensure sustainable knowledge management.
  • Provide process governance, advising Process Owners on design integrity and authorizing changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to shape and execute the process vision across Shell businesses.

What we need from you?

  • Education: Chartered Accountant, Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business/Commercial.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Finance Process Transformation, Process
  • Excellence, or Process Architecture.

Certifications:

  • Project Management, Continuous Improvement, or Business Process Transformation.
  • SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA (FI/SD modules)

  • Expertise in risk management, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, connecting business objectives to process design.
  • Passion for digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement in finance operations
