Job Summary

What will your job look like:

At Veradigm we routinely push the boundaries of technology and cloud architectures. We are seeking a hands-on Expert Network Engineer who is capable of maintaining and growing our network infrastructure, implementing monitoring solutions, building on best practices, and troubleshooting user issues. We are a DevOps-driven network team, and utilize CICD pipelines, DevOps methodology, and DevOps tooling to build and maintain modern cloud networks. In this role, you will have the freedom and flexibility to build new things, POC freely in a dedicated sandbox, and solve problems that push the boundaries of current technology!

Desired Skillsets

An Ideal Candidate will have:

Cisco Route/Switch Experience

• Experience with Meraki
• Troubleshooting BGP and routing
• BGP metric and routing manipulation
• Troubleshooting ACLs and layered filtering access operations and whitelisting
• Preference given to Cisco route/switch or Cisco security certifications
• CCIE or equivalent experience
• Cisco ASA experience or Secure Access management
• Strong network foundational knowledge
• Strong understanding of layer 1 and wireless connectivity
  
  

Firewall Experience

• Knowledge of VPN tunnel phases
• Experience building S2S VPNs between Azure/AWS VPN Gateways and NVA or physical firewall implementations
  
  

Cisco ASA Experience

• Strong AnyConnect or Secure Access management and troubleshooting experience
• VPN troubleshooting experience
• Packet monitoring and multi-layer filtering experience
• Designing secure networks and troubleshooting access
  
  

Other Skillsets

Troubleshooting and Advising:

• Understanding of the troubleshooting process from end to end
• Troubleshooting in cloud networks
• Experience and understanding of Windows and Linux systems
• Consulting internal or external teams on cloud architecture best practices
  
  

Cloud Networking Experience

• VPC or VNET peering, SG, NACL, route-table updates
• Site to site VPN builds with native AWS or Azure services
• Infrastructure as Code tooling to manage environments like Terraform or CloudFormation
• AWS and Azure experience desired, but either experience valuable
• Maintaining routing, security, load balancing, front door, and other standing cloud-based network services
• Cloud Architecture
  
  

DevOps Experience

• Terraform, Powershell, JSON, and other languages
• Git process knowledge
• CICD pipeline tools such as GitHub
• Experience implementing architectural standards into pipelines
  
  

Other Networking Technologies

• Sonicwall firewalls
• Palo Alto firewalls
• Express route implementation
• Cisco Firepower
• Certificate use cases and understanding of cryptography
