About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester (QA) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various testing methodologies, API and database testing, and test automation fundamentals, with the ability to collaborate closely with development and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis : Review and analyze software requirements to design effective test scenarios.
  • Test Planning and Execution : Prepare, review, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test plans across multiple development stages.
  • Functional and Usability Testing : Perform black-box, white-box, and API testing to ensure usability and functional accuracy.
  • Database Testing : Validate database impacts and data integrity using SQL Server queries.
  • Defect Tracking and Reporting : Analyze test results, document bugs, and prepare comprehensive test reports using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TFS.
  • Collaboration : Participate in design and requirement review sessions; provide inputs on product design, quality, and potential risks.
  • Client Interaction : Engage with clients to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with expectations.
  • Team Handling : Provide guidance and support to junior testers, if required.
  • Test Environment Management : Prepare test data and environments to ensure smooth execution of testing activities.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3-6 years) as a QA Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing, black-box testing, and database testing using SQL Server.
  • Exposure to white-box testing, including API calls and database validation.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools; basic knowledge of Selenium is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking and project management tools (JIRA, TFS, Bugzilla).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience in preparing reusable test assets and optimizing test processes.
