English Script Editor plays a pivotal role in our work; transcribing, proofreading and tagging the English-spoken content, which forms the foundation for translations used in dubbing, subtitling, audio description and closed captioning/SDH.

We're seeking a self-starter with localization experience in the Media and Entertainment space who is well-versed with technology and fluent in spoken and written English. Applications must be submitted to Global3

• Reviewing and correcting transcriptions, timing, character tagging and annotations of English language scripts and dialog lists.
• Reviewing and creating English subtitles or captions intended for the Deaf or hard-of-hearing community.
• Identifying and annotating cultural references, expressions and colloquialisms within an English script to facilitate the language translation process.
• Capturing exactly what is represented in the audio and video in order to avoid client rejections.
• Using Global3’s proprietary platform and tools for all editing work.
• Accurately completing work based on documentation of various guidelines for different clients
• Adhering to task benchmarks and also respecting client deadlines and delivery schedules.

Skills, Education & Experience:

• 1+ years in a similar role. Scripting, Subtitling, Captions & Dubbing experience in Media & Localization field preferred.
• Technically proficient; able and willing to learn new tools and features to increase efficiency
• Exceptional audio sensitivity – ability to understand fast-paced, spoken American and British English.
• Broad cultural knowledge and a wide range of interests.
• Proven research skills and fact-checking using Internet-based search engines.
• Ability to work fast and smart in a fast-turnaround climate.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while ensuring project completion and high quality output
