Your Job

The PSBU Packaging Engineer is responsible for design and development of packaging for all PSBU products designed in India, Lisle and manufactured in any location across the world.

Our Team

This role will be in PCCS division and PSBU business unit, PSBU Packaging Engineer report To Manager Engineering - PSBU India Engineering

What You Will Do

• Works with Product Development Team to establish packaging strategy (i.e. bulk pack, tape & reel, tray pack, etc).
• Creates packaging specifications as per the requirement using software – NX ECTR.
• Work with Product Engineer to understand the packaging requirement and create the packaging specification as per the requirement.
• Discuss with outside packaging supplier for the feasibility and obtained the quotation for the packaging components.
• Responsible for creating specification, validate the product per Molex drop test method and release the specification through EC process.
• Collaboration work with Engineers, Plant and Suppliers.
• Keeps abreast of Molex worldwide packaging standards.
• Works with Quality, Product Engineering, and the Manufacturing Plant to resolve packaging problems, both internally and externally (e.g. resolves QN’s
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• B.E (Graduate in Mechanical Engineering) with 1-3 years’ experience in packaging design and implementation
• Proficient in NX CAD solid modeling and capable of generating 3D models & 2D detail drawings
• Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities in order to complete projects in a systematic and timely manner
• Knowledge of packaging materials and processes used in the electronics
• Knowledge on different types of packaging that is Bulk, tray, tube and tape & reel Etc..
• Good in analyzing the packaging design and advance planning. Industries including corrugated materials, thermoformed tapes and trays, and extruded tubes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
