Your Job

You will be part of the Instrumentation and Controls team lead by one of our experienced Manager to execute engineering activities for

combustion packages (Thermal Oxidizer system, Vapor Recovery Units, Vapor Combustion Units, Process Burners, Boiler Burners and

Flare systems). You will be responsible for the specification study, Scope review, technical evaluation and engineering of the projects

until completion. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that the specification / deliverables meet the customer

requirement and with desired quality output in the desired schedule.

What You Will Do

P & ID Development and Review based on Process Inputs and Contractual requirement. Guiding the Drafting Team to finalize the P & IDs.

  • Estimating budget for Engineering Hours based on the scope of work.
  • Working with various offices to manage the project I&C activities and working in a team of engineers to maintain the project
  • schedules. Interacting with overseas offices for technical clarification and scope clarification.
  • Planning and Scheduling the Vendor Print Index or Document List.
  • Preparation of Instrument data sheets, Control Valve, shut off valve and PCV data sheets in standard ISA format /. Isf format
  • (INTOOLS).
  • Preparation of Utility List, Instrument Index, I/O list, Cable Block Diagram, Junction box and instrument cable schedule, cable
  • data sheets and it’s BOM.
  • Preparation of electrical documents like electrical cable schedule, LCS specifications, VFD specifications, motor data sheets
  • review, electrical load list etc.
  • Review of electrical schematics, MCC wiring and feeder drawings, package lighting illumination drawing. Technical discussion
  • with electrical package vendor to finalise the details.
  • Preparation of Hookup drawings and it’s BOM.
  • Providing inputs to 3D modeler for cable tray layout like JB locations, tentative cable tray routing along with sizes and
  • verification of BOM based on 3D model extraction.
  • Preparation of Material Requisition for BMS PLC systems, Local control Panels and analyser systems.
  • Preparation of RFQs for Instrumentation, evaluating the technical offers from suppliers and co-ordination with suppliers to
  • technically align the offers.
  • Preparation of Cause-and-Effect Chart, Control Narratives and BMS Logic Diagrams.
  • Participation in the 3D Model review of the packages. Co-ordinate with the team for giving instrumentation inputs required
  • for 3D model.
  • Co-ordination with other disciplines like Piping / Mechanical Engg. for understanding the interface between Instrumentation
  • and Process and providing them required instrument details.
  • Attending Project Review Meetings with Project Manager. Keeping track of pending activities/documents.
  • Participating in the FAT & SAT of the Systems like PLC systems, customer DCS, Local control panel, analyser systems, small
  • control panels at vendor place.
  • Participating in HAZOP and SIL review Meetings with Customer. Providing technical justification against new additions.
  • Managing assignments from various offices and working in a team of engineers to maintain the project schedules.
  • Supporting the Sales Team for TQ preparation and clarification, BOM preparation for budget estimation, manhours estimation.
  • Co-ordination with Customer for resolving technical queries.
  • Ensure good operational rhythm with Supervisor and colleagues. Participation in knowledge sharing sessions & lessons learned
  • sessions.
  • Timely resolution of technical doubts by effectively communicating with global counterparts.
  • Ensure peer review to improve quality of engineering drawings and documents.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of documents with “Right quality” and “Right the first time” approach.
  • Initiate and coordinate engineering activities related to the packages by initiating meetings with internal/external customer.
  • Assist project, sales, purchase and design teams on technical matters.
  • Contribute to development of the engineering systems by standardization initiatives, helping colleagues on technical aspects.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications (Profile Required – Quality, Skills, Exp)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in design and engineering of Combustion Systems, Burner Management Systems,
  • Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Should be able to work with minimum guidance.
  • Be conversant with ISA Standards ISA S-5.1, NFPA-85, NFPA-86, FCI 17-2, IEC 60079, NEC 500/505, IEC 61508.
  • Knowledge of Burner Management System, NFPA-85 and 86 is a must.
  • Knowledge of PLC Systems, SIL-3 Shut down systems is desirable.
  • Should have worked on a complete project cycle from Concept to Execution.
  • Awareness and exposure to various international standards like ASME, BS, EN, API and IS.
  • Should be conversant with selection of control valves and shut off valves, selection of flowmeters.
  • Good communication skill to interact with customer, Vendor, Inspection agencies & consultants.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Follow company guidelines and ensure compliance.
  • Should have a valid passport and willing to travel within India and overseas during any organizational requirement.

  • Familiarization of Saudi Aramco specifications, Australian codes and standards.
