Education Services Developer

About: Blackbaud University is the customer training team at Blackbaud, dedicated to powering social good with knowledge. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in collaborating between our training team and the Product Technology Group to support the building and maintaining of sandbox environments to accompany our virtual instructor-led training experience across multiple products and ensure a delightful client experience. You should be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a proven ability to creatively solve problems and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and design and build virtual training sandbox environments using technologies like .NET Core, C#, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Azure, and REST APIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain database and lab environments to support training needs, ensuring system health, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues, including customer support escalations.
• Track and document environment access, procedures, and configurations across Blackbaud software solutions.
• Coordinate with Curriculum Leads, Delivery Leads, Operations, IT, and external experts to meet install and environment requirements.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments (Azure DevOps, Azure PaaS).
• Develop and maintain integrations between core systems (e.g., Docebo Learn, Workday, Blackbaud Engineering System).
• Administer API documentation libraries using Swagger/OpenAPI (Swashbuckle).
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies to groom, plan, and deliver work; identify and resolve defects and technical debt.
• Drive improvements in environment quality through standards, testing, monitoring, and proactive alerting.
• Explore and apply emerging technologies to modernize systems and automate processes.
• Mentor junior developers and support standard operating procedures and documentation.
  
  

What we will want you to have: (Job requirements and preferences)

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL, Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, C#, REST APIs, and web technologies.
• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-based architectures (preferably Azure).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and being a leader on Scrum teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Azure PaaS services (AKS, Cosmos DB, SQL, Service Bus, Storage Accounts).
• Experience working with international engineering teams.
