A Brief Overview

The Director, Global Technology Services provides strategic direction, governance, and leadership for the design, implementation, and management of enterprise infrastructure services. This includes networks, servers, storage, cloud operations, end-user computing, service desk, and infrastructure security. The role ensures high availability, scalability, and resilience of IT environments supporting business operations across geographies. This role reports into a matrix, functionally to the head of Global Technology Services and locally to the TriNet country head in India. This role is responsible for the Global Technology Services Operations from India as well responsible for the Technology Operations of the India TriNet offices. The Director, Global Technology Services is responsible for coordinating all efforts of the Technology Operations Center. They will be an internal escalation point for issues that require complex managerial direction and decision making prior to escalating an issue outside of the Technology Operations Center. They will work alongside the Technology Operations Center Managers to help in defining metrics to measure and improve the Technology Operations Center team and the support they provide.

What You Will Do

• Define and communicate the big picture and Vision of the Technology Operations Center
• Help to ensure that the Technology Operations Center operates in accordance with the established procedures and practices.
• Publish Technology Operations Center Metrics and SLAs
• Publish incident and problem documentation and works with team to share best practices and/or recommend incident handling improvements.
• Measures and actions incident trends in support of Support Demand Reduction initiatives
• Enforce company IT standards and IT policies, including SOX-related IT controls.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement by researching internal- and industry-based best practices for Support.
• Align and execute the IT infrastructure strategy along with global business and technology objectives, in co-ordination with the Global Infrastructure Services team
• Lead teams responsible for network operations, data centers, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and enterprise system monitoring.
• Establish and enforce IT service management frameworks (ITIL) for incident, change, and problem management.
• Drive adoption of automation and AIOps tools to enhance service reliability and reduce operational overhead.
• Implement robust cybersecurity practices across the infrastructure layer in partnership with the information security team.
• Oversee vendor management and operational budgets for hardware, software, and managed service providers.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, data privacy, and government regulations (e.g., GDPR, RBI, or ISO 27001).
• Lead infrastructure transformation and cloud migration programs to improve agility and cost efficiency.
• Mentor and develop high-performing technical leaders and operations managers.
• Track key metrics and present infrastructure performance and improvement initiatives to executive leadership.

Education Qualifications

• Typically 15+ years 15 to 20 years of IT Technical Support experience required
• Typically 6+ years 7+ years of Supervisory experience required
