You're a DevOps engineer who believes in preventing problems before they arise, not just reacting when they surface. If you find satisfaction in dissecting complicated legacy infrastructure, architecting more performant systems, and automating every manual process you come across, this opportunity is for you. We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in demanding environments where 99.9% uptime is the baseline expectation. Your work will span a portfolio of acquired products, each with unique challenges, as you migrate them into a unified, scalable AWS environment while establishing monitoring and automation that makes incidents the exception, not the norm.

Most organizations ask you to support a single technology stack. We're asking you to harmonize and refine multiple stacks without causing disruption. Where others separate databases, we take a different approach, strategically consolidating them for cost efficiency and simplified management across our portfolio. This position isn't suited for someone content with maintaining the status quo; it's designed for someone who looks at a disjointed, inconsistent infrastructure and immediately envisions how to improve it.

Your scope includes infrastructure migrations, AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database transitions, and cost management. This means identifying and resolving existing issues, orchestrating smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-driven workflows to automate significant portions of your responsibilities. You'll possess genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure—no endless waiting for sign-offs from stakeholders disconnected from the technical reality.

If you're a self-directed problem-solver energized by unraveling complicated systems and ensuring they operate seamlessly, this role will engage you fully. If you require constant guidance, feel daunted by diverse technology stacks, or gravitate toward greenfield projects rather than bringing structure to complexity, this isn't the right fit. If you're prepared to own a high-impact infrastructure position with opportunities to build, refine, and automate at scale, submit your application today!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Orchestrating and executing sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy platforms to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift transitions
  • Architecting and deploying monitoring strategies and creating automations for monitoring, software releases, and operational processes
  • Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident management, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Spending your days in Jira and marathon status meetings - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not just document issues
  • Keeping legacy systems on life support forever - you'll be empowered to implement real improvements
  • Waiting through bureaucratic approval processes - you'll have authority to implement immediate remediation during incidents
  • Operating within restrictive technical silos - this position demands both wide-ranging knowledge and deep expertise
  • Justifying budget requests for essential infrastructure upgrades - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment

DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Advance reliability and consistency of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.

Basic Requirements

  • Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other clouds alone is insufficient)
  • Solid programming capabilities in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tooling
  • Proven experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Advanced proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration proficiency
