Timely delivery of DHL packages around the globe in a way that ensures customer data are secure is in the core of what we do. As a DevOps Engineer, your role will be vital in developing scripts and automation tools to optimize operational tasks, improve efficiency, and empower self-service capabilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and automating system and application configurations, utilizing tools to minimize manual errors and ensure consistency across different environments. Your involvement will also extend to conducting comprehensive tests, both manual and automated, to validate software functionality, identify defects, and uphold quality standards. Effective documentation of test results, generation of reports, and timely communication of status updates to stakeholders will be essential, particularly in highlighting critical issues and risks. Furthermore, you will conduct regression tests to ensure that software updates or changes do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionality. In complex situations, you will collaborate with other IT support teams and specialists to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain insight into the end-to-end process of how shipments are processed within the DHL network, requiring strong analytical skills to understand and develop improved solutions or recommendations.

As a DevOps Engineer, having Webmethods]is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of Tomcat will also be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting, database SQL, testing, Splunk query, MQ. You are able to work independently prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
