What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Evolent Mission: achieve better outcomes for people with the most complex health conditions by integrating provider care across to improve the patient care journey.
  • We have roughly 5000 employees across 3 different countries, but only provide health care in the US.
  • 100% remote company, officially HQ’d in Virginia in the US with offices also in Pune and Manilla.
  • We are publicly traded on the NYSE and our revenue is north of $2B, and we’ve given guidance to continued growth and expansion to the investment community.


We are seeking a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team contributing to product deployment, infrastructure, and delivery automation. You will be part of a team responsible for managing the large footprint of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. We are transforming the way we manage cloud infrastructure and your role as a DevOps Engineer is instrumental to our success. This role is for you if you are interested in becoming a part of our highly talented team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Improve and implement IaC and CaC strategies in both new and existing projects.
  • Partner with SRE in delivering reliable software consistently.
  • Work with engineering teams to containerize existing applications.
  • Ensure code is thoroughly vetted by the time it is served as an artifact.
  • Integrate new and existing pipelines with security tooling.
  • Enable development teams to focus on writing software rather than pipelines.
  • Writing excellent documentation
  • Assist the Platform Architecture team to design cloud environments.
  • Research, evangelize, and implement best practices and tools for DevOps.
  • Working within the agile methodology (kanban, sprints) to manage project work.


Preferred Expertise

  • 3+ years of DevOps and 5+ years of overall cloud platform related experience.
  • An automation mindset driven by a passionate hatred for manual tasks.
  • Complete understanding of Git: branching, merging, tagging, conflicts, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, integrated with a Git strategy (at least one of: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, BitBucket Pipelines etc)
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience building and supporting complex cloud environments using Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerization and related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
  • Experience using Ansible Automation Platform to configure Windows in an Azure environment.
  • Extremely good at clear communications in a blameless culture.
  • Comfortable with a high level of transparency.
  • Willing to work in shift time 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm(IST).
  • Low ego.


Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience


Mandatory Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
