Developer – Shopify & Node.js

Dermatouch is a fast-growing skincare brand committed to delivering dermatologically tested, science-backed products that bring visible results.

As we scale our ecommerce operations, we’re enhancing our technology stack to provide a seamless and optimized online experience for our customers.

We’re looking for a Shopify Developer with strong Node.js and API integration expertise to help us build powerful, automated, and scalable Shopify solutions.

Position Overview

The Shopify + Node.js Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores, as well as building integrations with third-party platforms such as payment

gateways, CRMs, and logistics tools.

This role requires a strong understanding of Shopify APIs, Liquid templates, and backend development using Node.js.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and manage custom Node.js applications for Shopify integrations (e.g., Gokwik checkout, CRM sync, Razorpay, Shiprocket, etc.).
• Work with Shopify REST & GraphQL APIs to automate processes and enhance store functionality.
• Create and maintain webhooks, middleware, and custom API endpoints to connect Shopify with external systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Shopify integrations and store performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, and operations) to roll out new ecommerce features.
• Maintain clean, well-documented code and participate in version control (Git).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify (Liquid, JSON templates, and theme structure).
• Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience in third-party API integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, marketing tools, logistics, etc.).
• Solid understanding of Shopify REST & GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and OAuth/token authentication.
• Familiarity with Git, JSON, and asynchronous data handling.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Shopify Plus or Headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Next.js).
• Familiarity with React for custom storefronts or internal dashboards.
• Experience in CRM or ERP system integration.
• Knowledge of Liquid schema for dynamic theme settings in Shopify.
• Understanding of Shopify app development lifecycle.
