Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with desktop environments, and the ability to deliver excellent user support in a fast-paced organization.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other enterprise applications.
- Respond to service requests and incidents via ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of desktop systems and software.
- Assist in setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Document technical issues and solutions for knowledge management purposes.
- Collaborate with IT team members to support IT infrastructure projects and deployments.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop environments and Experience with Active Directory, network printers, and remote support tools.
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions and antivirus management.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
