The opportunity

Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Participate in the Technical Kick off handover meetings with Project Manager / Tendering
• Read through the customer specifications and compliance reports as per the customer requirements.
• Define the milestone deliverables (Base Design / BOM / Detail Design) as per the project requirement.
• Preparation of Electrical and Gas SLD, Plan and Section drawings based on various offer / tender and customer specifications and Adapter design as per the requirements.
• Preparation of 3D modelling of high voltage GIS including adapter for various substation configuration.
• Preparation of Guaranteed technical particulars of GIS and HV equipment such as Breakers, disconnectors, GIB etc. for submission to customer.
• Delivering all the Detail Design Tasks (Rating plates / Cable / Duct / Earthing / Cutout-Civil requirements / As Built etc)
• Execute DtV Process during the Base design phase. Contribute to the Margin improvement of the Project.
• Accountable for the On Quality Delivery of the milestones of the project as per the Milestone database
• Preparation of bill of materials (SD BOMs) and release in the SAP as per the Milestone database. Preparation of technical documents for procurement of Current transformers and voltage transformers.
• Participate in customer meetings as required. Active participation in project review meeting
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  
  

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in electrical engineering
• 5-6 years of experience in primary product design, preferably GIS Engineering.
• GIS product Secondary engineering will add weightage. Knowledge on IEC/IEEE/IS standards.
• Hand on experience in 3D tools like ProE / CREO, AUTOCAD-3D, MS Office.
• Familiar with international standards (IEC, EN, ANSI)
• Knowledge of SAP system (MM module). Expertise in GIS Project execution process knowledge
• MV/HV Gas insulated Substation Design knowledge
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
