Job Description Position: DCS Engineer Industry Type: Power Department: Production, Manufacturing & Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Role Category: Operations Key Responsibilities: DCS System Operation Monitor and operate the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure smooth plant operations. Perform routine and preventive maintenance of the DCS to minimize downtime. System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the DCS, including hardware, software, and communication interfaces. Implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operation. Control Logic and System Configuration: Develop and modify control logic to optimize plant processes. Configure, test, and commission control loops and interlocks. Process Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor plant processes and identify opportunities for improvement through system enhancements. Analyze process data to optimize operational efficiency. Equipment Integration: Integrate new equipment or systems with the DCS, ensuring proper configuration and functionality. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety protocols. Maintain records of system changes, incidents, and maintenance activities. Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to operators on DCS functionality. Collaborate with other teams for troubleshooting and process improvements. Spares and Documentation: Plan and manage inventory for DCS-related spare parts. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and manuals.
