Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date with the research literature and thinking beyond the state of the art to address the needs of our users.
  • Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results.
  • Help identify long-term ambitious research goals as well as intermediate milestones.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow researchers and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Have solid expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Reinforcement Learning (RL), with hands-on experience in both software engineering and scientific research.
  • Have worked with large-scale LLMs in the 10s to 100s of billions of parameters.
  • Have produced novel research related to fine-tuning LLMs or improving upon pre-trained LLMs.
  • Have specialized expertise in topics like installation, RLHF, DPO, LLM tool use, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ML libraries, etc.
  • Experience with large-scale datasets and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Have strong communication skills and a desire to work on a small, fast-paced team.
